This Refund Policy explains when Toutmark offers refunds and how to request one. Toutmark is a monthly subscription service; refunds are limited except under specific circumstances.
1. Pricing & Billing Cycle
Toutmark pricing tiers:
- Starter: $79/month
- Growth: $149/month
- Scale: $229/month
A one-time $25 onboarding fee may apply, waived for founding customers (first 25 accounts).
Billing: Charges are recurring, auto-renewed on the 1st of each month via Stripe.
Pro-Rata First Month: If you sign up mid-month, your first charge is pro-rated to the end of that month. Subsequent charges are always full-month.
2. First-Deliverable Satisfaction Guarantee
First-deliverable satisfaction guarantee: If your first paragraph rewrite, first blog draft, or first schema spec (whichever Toutmark ships first) is unsatisfactory and we cannot fix it within 7 days of your written feedback, you receive a full refund of your first month. To qualify, you must email [email protected] describing the problem. The 7-day fix window starts when your help@ email is received; we acknowledge within 1 business day. After your first deliverable is accepted, no refunds are issued. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period. There is no 14-day window, no 90-day window, and no general money-back guarantee outside this policy.

3. Standard Cancellation
End-of-Period Cancellation: After your first deliverable is accepted, Toutmark operates on a standard monthly subscription model with no refunds.
How to Cancel

Effective Date: Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access through the last day you paid for.
Refund: No refund is issued for unused days in your current month. You will not be charged for future months after your cancellation date.
4. Failed Installation Refund
If Toutmark is unable to successfully install on your platform within 30 days of signup, and you want to cancel, you may request a full refund.
Eligibility
- Installation must have failed despite good-faith efforts by both you and Toutmark
- You must have communicated the issue to [email protected] with documentation
- You must request the refund within 30 days of signup

5. Chargebacks & Disputes
Chargeback Policy: If you initiate a chargeback through your payment method without first contacting Toutmark to resolve the issue, Toutmark reserves the right to:
- Immediately terminate your account
- Suspend access to your data and the platform
- Pursue recovery of chargeback fees and legal costs
Before Initiating a Chargeback: Please email [email protected] to discuss your concern. We will work to resolve billing issues quickly.
6. Payment Failures & Suspension
Failed Payment: If your credit card fails to charge:
- Toutmark will attempt to retry the charge the next business day
- If the second attempt fails, your account will be suspended
- You have 30 days to update your payment method and resolve the charge
- If payment is not resolved within 30 days, your account and all data will be terminated (no refund)
7. Partial Refunds & Pro-Rata Adjustments
Toutmark does not offer partial-month refunds except in the 90-day trial exit clause and failed installation scenarios.

8. How to Request a Refund

Timeline
- Acknowledgment: We will confirm receipt of your request within 24 hours
- Review: We will review your request and eligibility within 5 business days
- Approval: If approved, the refund is processed within 14 days
- Bank Processing: Your bank may take an additional 3–5 business days to credit your account

If you disagree with our refund decision
If we decline a refund and you believe the decision was wrong, you can escalate. The path is:
- Email [email protected] with the subject prefix
Refund dispute — <reason>. State why you believe the original decision was incorrect. Include any new information that wasn't in the original ticket. - We draft a final-position memo within 24 hours. The memo cites this published refund policy, the delivery record for your account (when we shipped your first deliverable, when you accepted it), and the rationale for the original decision.
- The owner reviews and sends a final decision within 5 US business days.
- After the final decision, there is no further internal appeal. Toutmark is a small team and we do not have a separate review board.
If you remain dissatisfied after the final decision, your remaining options are:
- Stripe chargeback. You can dispute the charge through your card issuer. We will respond to the chargeback with our delivery proof and policy. The outcome is decided by your bank, not by us.
- Cancel your subscription. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. No further charges will be made.
We try hard to make refund calls fair the first time. The escalation path exists so you have a clearly-defined next step if you believe we got it wrong.
